Heres a giant list of questions that may help you understand how strength coach pro works, whether you are considering it now OR for the future.
With Strength Coach Pro, you can have unlimited athletes!
Our drag and drop program builder allows you to make the program EXACTLY how you want it - no limitations. You can use the blocks (training blocks, surveys, notes, metrics and videos) in the order you want them in - this flexibility allows you to make an infinitely versatile program.
Well, a few reasons. One, we don't use a calendar view - we allow you to make a PROGRAM then assign that program to athletes. Whether they come in the same days week to week or not, it doesn't matter. Two, we don't upcharge and downcharge based on number of athletes - its a one time fee for lifetime access. Finally, the versatility of our program allows you to make ANY program without limitations, and track the progress of the results of those.
Yes, our athletes app allows your athletes to view the program, record results, view their metrics and view the chat dialogue.

Yes, your own exercises, programs, surveys, tests, everything is yours, and completely customizable at any time.
Excel is free, extremely versatile and customizable. However, that comes at two costs:
1. You must spend countless hours learning how to build the excel template you want, and constantly upgrading, improving and refining your excel template (time you could have spent coaching).
2. Excel has no viable way to save data in a single place. You will end up with countless printed programs, endless excel programs on your computer, and basically - stuff everywhere. Our software will allow you to put everything in one space.
You can call, text or email us at any time, use our built in help portal, or post on our private facebook group.
Strength Coach Pro allows you to make ANY type of program. The combination of the drag and drop builder, combined with the multi-day, multi-week program builder and the notes and video system really allows you to make any type and style of program.
Metrics are tests - they allow you to store a test result for any type of protocol you want. Examples could be a bench press 1RM, back squat 5RM, 225 max bench reps, pullups, bodyweight - anything that can be TESTED is called a metric within Strength Coach Pro.

Absolutely, once you have made a training program for your athletes, you can edit it at any time - either the BASE program you made, or edit athletes individual programs. Once you have edited a base program however, it will NOT change the program for anyone who has it - you would need to reassign the training program.
Updates for SCP are automatically pushed to all accounts. To get the iPad and app updates, you must have automatic updates enabled or manually go in and update the apps.
Our data reporting is based on metrics, which is how we record test results. We do this because we don't want to automatically assume every training block is a data point or worthy of recording as a test result, so we deliberately separate metrics from training. Once your athletes or teams have metrics recorded, you can pull up an athlete account or our reporting suite to view your athletes progress over time, or view a teams progress over time.
Tags are how we categorize information - everything on the site is organized by tags. When saving exercises, surveys, metrics, programs, sets and reps, or even athletes, tags can be used to organize the information. For example, you can tag your exercises based on the category or muscle they use, athletes by their sport, and programs by the desired adaptation.
Rosters are very easy, because it also runs on our tag system. You add an athlete to the rosters page, but make sure to tag them appropriately - these tags will allow you to sort by specific teams, positions, ages, training goals, etc. Whatever tags you find work best for you and your program you can use here!
Absolutely, if you want to make a few versions of the same program this is no problem at all. Go to the programs page, and search for the program you want to duplicate and hit the copy button. This will create a copy of that program, which you can then edit and save.
So you know how most programs out there work on a calendar basis? They make you make an individual workout and drag it to a calendar for a certain team? We don't do that. We build PROGRAMS, then you give those programs to your clients. The way we build programs is using our drag and drop builder to make a multi-day, multi week program, kind of like excel. You know how you build "3 day 4 week" templates on excel? With us, you don't need a template because you can live build a full workout on the spot with however many days and weeks you need, that you can then assign to your athletes.
We have databases for you to store your exercises, surveys, metrics (test protocols), videos, rosters, assistant coaches and programs!
We use metrics - metrics are separate from training blocks because they allow you to independently store test results aside from an athletes usual training program. Think of test day - on that day you would use metrics to track their progress, and these metrics make up the basis of all of our reporting.
Absolutely. First when adding an exercise you would assign it to a metric - aka to calculate a back squat you can calculate from a back squat 1rm. Then you would make sure the athlete has a max for that metric, and in the program builder make sure you enter percentages to calculate from.
You know how some software has you build workouts one day at a time, then drag those workouts to a calendar for athletes or a roster? And to build a months worth of workouts you have to repeat this process over and over? But on excel you can build a single 4 day 4 week template andhave their workouts done and scheduled for a month? We are closer to the second option - with us you can build multiple days and weeks of training all on one screen, then distribute to athletes who will pull the workouts up one at a time.
Yes, when building a program you would drag in a training block, then hit "show advanced options". This will give you an option to show the reps achieved box in the actual program the athlete sees.
Yes! Inside of a training block, simply hit "add exercise" and you can add multiple exercises inside of a single training block. Then you can add multiple training blocks to create multiple tiers with supersets in each.
Yes! See above ;)
A survey is made up of questions - so to make a survey, you must first make questions, then add those questions to the survey. Once the survey is made, in the program builder you will drag a survey block into the program and select the survey you want to use, and your athletes will then see all the questions on that survey.
Notes can be used to write up a warmup, a finisher, a foam roll protocol, or even just general notes for the day or week. Anything you want can be put in warmup.
